Hi! I’m a 28 year old book lover! I’m autistic, and a single mum to a toddler. I read in any spare time I have, and listen to audiobooks daily when doing chores or cooking. I am isolated and have no friends so I am looking to make some book friends and potentially find a book club for September 2025 when my son goes to nursery! I’m also looking for an online book club that’s local people to me attend as well as I want to make real connections with those in my local area so we could eventually do little coffee/book friend dates, or make a point of doing a little get together with pizza or Chinese and a book at home of an evening! Message me if you think you’d like to be friends! I read pretty much anything, although not very huge on classics overall. I really enjoy fantasy, romance, spice, comedy, lighthearted, cosy reads, horror, witchy and spooky, and pretty much anything else. My only aversion really is classics as I find them a little boring! Some of my favourites are the night circus by erin morgenstern, scythe by neal shusterman, the ghost tree by Christina Henry, and I also loved more recently before the coffee gets cold. I’m an avid reader of a wide range of fiction and literature. I love to read and be recommended books outside of my go-to genres. My most recent top read is Barbara Kingsolver Demon Copperhead. I enjoy chatting characters, plots, and perspectives over a cuppa or glass. I’ve was a book club member in my last home in Gloucestershire and I since moving to Devon this summer I am now looking to join like-minded folk to talk books around Ashburton and Bovey Tracey.
