U3A Book Group 2

Meets at Alison Curtis on Run by alisonatu3a Library service Kent County Council - Libraries A group of up to 15 (slightly too many for comfortable discussion but only a dozen usually turn up). Set up under the banner of U 3 A seven years ago. We read mainly fiction and meet to discuss each book chosen at our January meeting on the last Tuesday afternoon of each month.Members are all female as it has turned out. Men have made occasional appearances but not stayed with us. We sometimes try to visit places in which our chosen books are set. Marshans Reading Group

Meets at New Romney Library on Run by New Romney Library Library service Kent County Council - Libraries This is a group for anyone with an interest in reading for pleasure, and for anyone looking to join a new social club. All we ask is that you are ready to talk about one book per month (chosen in advance by the group) - ready to collect and free to borrow from your local library. Marlowe Academy

Meets at Marlowe Academy on Run by Julie Larner Library service We are a Reading Activists group of 30 students based at the Marlowe Academy in Ramsgate, Kent. The Newington public library run by Kent County Council tis based onsite at the Academy and is shared with the school. Students in the group represent a range of year groups from school years 7 to 12. As part of our project we will be dedicating a session to the Hobbit, joining a session at the Turner Contemporary of the Thanet Young Writers Squad and planning our our arts events in our library and school. Our group is facilitated by two creative practitioners, library and school staff. We meet at: Ramsgate, Kent, Ramsgate, Kent, CT12 7NB

A Reading Activist-run service provides an inviting space for young people aged 11-16 to come together at Rainham Library, Birling Avenue to enjoy reading and getting to know each other. New members are welcome to join.
