Chorleywood Library Chatterbooks Group 2014-15

Each year, Hertfordshire libraries offer 15 Chatterbooks reading groups for children aged 8 to 12. The library staff hosts an hour-long gathering once a month. Taking part in Chatterbooks is free, but spaces are limited. To make it accessible to as many children as possible, joining a group is valid for one school year, and the host libraries change annually. During each session, participants are encouraged to appreciate the love of reading through fun book-related activities. These can include getting access to exclusive reading materials, selecting books for the library, or even meeting authors. Meetings take place at Chorleywood Library, Lower Road, Chorleywood, Hertfordshire, WD3 5LB.

Page Turners

We gather at The Library each Thursday during lunch as a group of staff and students. Led by Jayne Truran and Library Service, members discuss what they have read, read prior published books, and take part in various awards. We participate in The Red House Children's Book Award and recently began reading some non-fiction for a Royal Society book award. Some of our group have been with us since Year 7 and we are now extending invitations to join our crew. We are located at Science Plaza, Francis Combe Academy, Watford, Hertfordshire, WD25 7HW. #audio #Chatterbooks #ebook #graphicnovel
