Lucy (Gerrards Cross)

Looking to join a book group as I love to read in my free time. Would be great to connect with other readers in their 20s or 30s and start a group to make friends too. Open to reading all types of books: fiction, non-fiction, autobiographies, memoirs, romance, crime, etc!

The SB Book Club (Gerrards Cross)

We're a group of friendly people wanting to share our reading likes and dislikes once a month in a "sociable" setting - a glass of SB and a good book can only make life better...

Sue T (Gerrards Cross)

Hello neighbours, a couple of friends and I are setting up a book club in the Farnham Common/Gerrards Cross area and would welcome a couple more local people getting involved. The idea is to meet every 4-5 weeks, with the Chair for that month hosting the club. Hopefully be an ideal opportunity to expand your reading genres and make new friends. Please email me if you're interested. Best wishes, Sue T

The relationship formed by 2 ex-slaves with a local farmer at end of the American Civil War against a background of community hostility and violence. A powerful tale of friendship, love and bigotry.

Shauna (Buckingham)

Part time worker and mom who loves reading but never seem to have the time to finish a book. Like mostly fiction but love a good auto-biography occasionally. Monthly meetings would be great. Good opportunity to make new friends and expand my reading repertoire - and perhaps motivate me to actually finish books I start reading. No excuses. Would love to meet up with anyone in similar situation or even just to have a conversation (about books ofcourse) - and/or other things. :-)

Sheila (Aylesbury)

I would love to find a local book club, as I like different perspectives on novels. It would also be great to meet more local people as I work in London.

Mary (Aylesbury)

Hello! I am a comic stand-up poet of some twelve years' standing, have published three poetry books on Kindle, along with a coming-of-age romance. I have written my huge autobiography based on a very interesting life (I'm 70) and have just embarked on writing a series of illustrated fantasy books - teenage to whatever age - about a group of 'gnomish' KinFolk who inhabit the Vale. Once the first is printed (say in about a month's time) I'd love the opportunity to introduce your members to my little people, for some 'critical friend' support before I go bonkers with a longer print run. I've never belonged to a book club myself, so I hope this request isn't too far away from the sort of thing that might be of interest to you. If it doesn't fit, maybe you could be kind enought to suggest an alternative or two? Many thanks.
