ItsNicki (Rochdale)

Love mostly fantasy books at the moment, do have diverse reading tastes, from thrillers to police crime, werewolves - witches - vampires to period drama to chick flick books, depending on my mood will depend on what I am currently reading. I love my kindle but there is nothing better than to smell and hold a new book regardless of the title & contents. Looking to join a book club near me to meet and make friends with booking loving like minded people.

My favourite period drama book, I bought it a long time ago after finding it for sale for a few quid in a charity shop, I lent it my friend who lost it, I had to rebuy it, it currently sits amongst my favourite books, will no longer lend it out, I've read it quite a few times and go back to it when I want to immerse myself back in to a story full of vengeance, passion & love.

It manages to convey different philosophical ideas and perspectives. It makes philosophy more accessible by weaving it into a novel.

I have always loved reading but don’t have many other friends that do! I would happy read any genre but I’m definitely gravitating more towards fantasy/romantasy now!

Casperpurple (Fleetwood)

I’ve never been in a book club before but my friend talked about the one she goes to in Cumbria and it’s sounds really good so hopefully there will be something similar close to Fleetwood/Blackpool. A bit about me, I just turned 40, no kids but I do have a little fur baby cockapoo called Bailey which is very naughty but adorable. I like all sorts of books, anything from a period novel to a beach romance. As long as the story is good and the ending isn’t too predictable. Especially love the books that have been made into films as I love the cinema too. I would like to join a book club that happens in the evening as I work full time, preferrably somewhere that involves food and maybe a glass of wine/ coffee or something at the weekend in a coffee shop.

I have always been an avid reader since being a small child. I particularly like thrillers but am open to read anything really. I am recently widowed and looking for activities to get me out of the house and meet new people.
