To get back into reading and having something for myself. To be able to put the phone down and get lost into a world with love or heartbreak. To discover a villain or hero. Dabble with fact or fiction. The kind of books you just can put down and then you have to just shout about it to someone.

Always enjoyed reading. The humble series of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid stoked my passion for it, now I’m sitting with thoughts unsaid after finishing the Kite Runner. I work in retail, so it can be quite mind numbingly boring hence, I want to find more people to share and learn of emotions invoked by reading.

The terminology employed is deep yet not medical garbolium so as an average reader the story told by the author is still understood despite the heavy medical undertone of the book.

I’ve never been to a book club before, so a little nervous . I enjoy reading thrillers and romance novels but open to trying different genres. The most recent book I enjoyed reading was “The housemaid” by Freida McFadden.

I like quite a varied list of genres from romance, action, fantasy, futuristic / space. Not sure I’m a classics type of person because the old English language I find really difficult to read and understand. Mainly I want to get out more and interact with people and I enjoy books so I thought this could be a good fit. Never done it before so nervous and shy.

It takes a little while to get into the first book of any series, but once you get used to the character names and their personalities you fall in love with the book and can’t put it down. I love the escapism with this book. It’s quirky and interesting and believable in a very fantasy kind of way. The detailed descriptions are great but not over done so it’s easy to read and focus on the story. I definitely got emotionally invested reading this series of books.
