I’ve always loved reading and currently love getting myself lost in fantasy/romantasy series e.g. ACOTAR, Fourth Wing. Would love to be able to discuss with people! Another big part of me which takes up most of my time is being a working mum.

Hi! i’m hannah i’ve never been much of a reader but i’ve always loved the idea of it and the idea of being apart of something so i thought by combining the two a book club would be perfect!!

I’m 28 and recently got back into reading, which I’m really enjoying. Never been a part of book club before, but thought it would be nice to talk to people who share similar interests

I'm a busy person with a childish sense of fun and enjoyment of life. I love being outside and walking with my partner and our dog. I live near the sea and enjoy swimming all year round. I'm happiest when I'm being active and I try to do yoga daily and some sort of dance based or cardio class.

It's a beautifully written book about an average Englishman and the way she writes makes you feel like you are in India too. It's not very long so won't take ages to read.

I've loved reading since I was a child, I used to disappear into The Famous Five, Malory Towers and The Secret Seven books, leaving the real world behind. I've always loved the escapism and total immersion I feel when reading. As a teenager I was often laid up with glandular fever and used to read my Granny's Mills & Boon books, often a book a day (now I know where I got my ridiculous younger ideals of love and romance!?) I've spent the last decade or so reading a lot of crime novels and love Jo Nesbo, Peter James, Michael Connolly, Val McDermid etc. However my mother-in-law is a book addict and short story author and has introduced me to a variety of books and authors and I've loved reading something new but wish I had a gang of like minded bookworms to discuss it with.

I enjoy reading about anything and everything, I've dabbled in non-fiction such as economics, health and fitness, nutrition and pension planning. I have also become very fond with classics (Dostoyevsky, Dickens, Conan-Doyle), but also enjoy general fiction, horror and fantasy styled books. I want to join a book club to find new recommendations, share my passion for reading and to gain friends.

It is the best book I have read, it's perfect in the way it shows guilt and shame as well as the importance of relationships with family and friends. It is a long book but the length is worth the quality of detail for each event that transpires. I will re-read this book again and again

I love romantasy books. I've always loved fantasy books, since I was young but there was a period of my life during which I had forgotten just how much I love it. I've recently been back to it, having very quickly read Fourth Wing, ACOTAR, ToG, between others. I'm a working mum and would like to find a group to meet on a monthly basis :)

I loved the enemy to lovers, the fantasy of this book, the world building. I was so immersed reading it that it felt like waking up from a dream when I finished.

Charley

Hi, I’d love to join or make a regular book club, whether that be fortnightly, once a month, more often than that I don’t have a particular timeframe in mind. Romance books are my passion, any kind; romantasy, the classics, HEA’s, dark romance etc, as I find it easiest to lose myself in them. I’d love to make friends and be able to chat about some of favourite books and discover other people’s favourites too

Charley recommends:

Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros

I mean it was the number one best rated romantasy book this year for a reason, it’s got a bit of everything, angst, romance, spice, twists, and who doesn’t love dragons!
Hopeless by Elsie Silver

This series in general (the chestnut springs series) is a lovely little collection of books. They’ve all got a bit of humour, easy to read but with serious conversations and undertones throughout, and everyone loves a broody cowboy right?
