Clare (Littlehampton)

Looking to join a book group for socialising and explore new interesting reads. I'll mostly go for fantasy, but have been mixing it up recently with murder mystery, nonfiction and have particularly enjoyed the slice of life/fantasy "Legends and Lattes" by Travis Baldree.

Maria i (Arundel)

I've recently moved from Cornwall where I was part of an active book club to West Sussex and though not an avid reader I would like to belong to a group for social reasons as well as the introduction of new books. I enjoy fiction and non fiction. I suppose I go for psychological thrillers and books that make you think but I'm open to reading anything within reason.

elrichie (Arundel)

I read every single night, and my poor bookshelf is bursting at the seams. I love stories with great characters and ones that stick with you. A few of my favourites are Throne of Glass (I can’t resist a good fantasy), One Day (because it broke my heart in the best way), and Cleo and Frank (I love a messy, modern love story). I wanted to join a book club as my poor partner is probably sick of hearing me rambling on and waking them up in the night to tell them a plot twist!!

Ambrose (Littlehampton)

Hi! I'm Ambrose and I enjoy reading dystopian, science fiction and mystery novels mainly. I am currently on my summer holiday after finishing my GCSEs and am looking for a book group to try and keep myself occupied. I am currently reading The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.

CharliePW01 (Littlehampton)

I am 23 years old, live in Rustington -- although planning on moving to Southampton eventually -- looking to expand my horizons and look for new opportunities to bond over shared interests and get back into reading. I was previously reading SAGAs, and was especially keen on Rosie Goodwin's 'A Maiden's Voyage' and Emma Hornby's 'A Maid's Discrace' last year.

CharliePW01 recommends:

A Maiden's Voyage by Rosie Goodwin

I really felt a strong connection with the main character and her story, as well as the historical context surrounding the book; I'm personally very drawn to historical SAGAs, particularly those set in this period (Victorian and Edwardian eras). I couldn't put this book down easily, and was always drawn to what would come next, would strongly recommend a read.

Katie (Arundel)

I love reading romance books mostly and a bit of fantasy/romantasy. Looking to make new bookish friends around my age (late 20’s/30’s) to chat books with and maybe meet up and form a book club.

Katie recommends:

Promise Me Sunshine by Cara Bastone

My favourite book that I’ve read so far this year! It deals with loss, grief and having to move forward in such a funny, messy, chaotic and relatable way. Perfection.
