Grace (Hayling Island)

I have recently rediscovered my love for reading. I am mainly into the romance or non-fiction genres at the moment (very different, I know!), but I am trying to broaden my horizons. I have just read Sally Rooney's 'Normal People' and I feel my life has been changed. For better or worse, I do not yet know...!

Normal People by Sally Rooney
Normal People

The emotions are portrayed, I think, so significantly and intricately. The dialogue, mixed with the prose, is a refreshing read.

I am a single mum of 4 teens, but as much as I love my children I want to find me again, find friends that I connect with and have some fun, I love to read so I thought this would be a great place to start 😊

The setting is stunning. Her character development is fab. Miller really brings Circe out of the Odyssey, gives her life and I completely fell in love with her!

Charlotte (Portsmouth)

Hello I'm in my early 30s and have lived in the area for a couple years. I've struggled to meet people with similar interests but I absolutely love to read. I mostly read crime, thrillers, horrors and fantasy. I am open to different genres though and would love to meet some like minded people and make some new friends :)

Hi I'm Joel, I'm 41, from Southampton, and work at the university. I loved reading Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari and have since written my own book titled 'Human Supremacy' to be published later this year and so would love people to read it as beta readers. Honest feedback would be hugely appreciated!
