Kayleigh (Dover)

My names Kayleigh and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this year, my favourite genres being fantasy and romance, or a nice Romantasy if you will! I would love to find a local book group to join and broaden my horizons, not just with books but with people too!

This is an incomplete fantasy series, but it is incredible, it is what got me into fantasy and I can’t wait for the next books to come out. This series will make you cry, laugh and want to throw it all at the same time! Bonus if you love a little spice :D

Ami Grace (Rochester)

Hey, would love to make some book friends. 34 and based in Rochester. My favourite type of books are ones where the main character is eccentric and a bit of a loner (don't know if that counts as a genre 🤷). Some of my faves are....We are all completely beside ourselves, Convenience Store Woman, Elinor Oliphant is completely fine, Remains of the day and pretty much any thing by Joanna Cannon.

Caroline (West Malling)

I love people books such as Finding Henry Applebee and The People on Platform 5. I read a lot of murder mystery, psychological thriller types- Michael Connelly etc. I do read a lot and get my books on line and tend to go with what’s available cheaply otherwise I would be bankrupt 😁. It would be nice to chat about books I’ve read, maybe meet up over a coffee, get recommendations. I’ve never been involved in a reading club before and I’m curious

Kaz (Whitstable)

I am a 60yr old woman, work as a gardener and keep physically & mentally fit so don't write me off cos of age! I read literary fiction, mostly modern, and can provide a list of books read in the last coupla years if you are interested to see the sort of things I choose. Been in a club before a few years ago but it became claustrophobic and have been unable to find another since then.

Kaz recommends:

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

Fabulously immersive writing, diverse characters who cannot neatly be pigeonholed or be easily identified with, sense of place and lifestyle is conveyed vividly and the storyline is unusual and inventive.

Hello, I’m Julia. I’ve been looking for a book club because I enjoy reading, but even more so, I love discussing stories and seeing how others interpret them. Some of my recent favourite reads have been The tarot reader of Versailles. I am open to any genre or authors.

Macey (Herne Bay)

Hey I am 24 years old and have recently moved to Herne bay and is looking to meet new people with the same passion for reading as me. I used to struggle with reading as a child but I never let that stop me and find reading an escape from reality being able to be in someone else’s shoes for a period of time. I am a massive book worm and is always up for option to read but I do have to say I am a softy and love a good romance book but also a good fantasy.

Always loved reading. Don’t read as often as I’d like to these days but I still get the “I just want to read all the books” feeling as soon as I walk into a bookshop! :)
