Reader (Coppull)

I enjoy contemporary and historical fiction, always have at least two books on the go. Not so keen in science fiction but willing to give anything a go. I’d love the opportunity to discuss books with others and hear new recommendations.

Tam (Garstang)

40yrs old, new to the area, I love reading fantasy and romantasy, my new favourite genres. From time to time I read historic or gothic fiction or a good spooky horror to break things up. I'd love to find a bookclub to connect with people in the local area over a love of books and make new friends.

David - would love to find a book club (Lancaster)

Hi, my work means that I mostly read academic books and I'm happy to read more of them (especially History & Politics) if there is interest out there, but it would be nice to branch out and discover fiction and have the fun of discussing books and ideas. Hope there is a book club out there!

It hits on some difficult topics and made me cry. But the world building and character relationships are phenomenal.

The characters are just so incredibly personable but the world building is also atmospheric and a genius idea to change one small detail of a world we know. This is also an important book in looking into the negatives of British colonialism but also identity.
