I have always loved reading but don’t have many other friends that do! I would happy read any genre but I’m definitely gravitating more towards fantasy/romantasy now!

I’ve never been in a book club before but my friend talked about the one she goes to in Cumbria and it’s sounds really good so hopefully there will be something similar close to Fleetwood/Blackpool. A bit about me, I just turned 40, no kids but I do have a little fur baby cockapoo called Bailey which is very naughty but adorable. I like all sorts of books, anything from a period novel to a beach romance. As long as the story is good and the ending isn’t too predictable. Especially love the books that have been made into films as I love the cinema too. I would like to join a book club that happens in the evening as I work full time, preferrably somewhere that involves food and maybe a glass of wine/ coffee or something at the weekend in a coffee shop.

I have always been an avid reader since being a small child. I particularly like thrillers but am open to read anything really. I am recently widowed and looking for activities to get me out of the house and meet new people.

I can start with the usual love of books and the advantage of having like minded readers to discuss it with. It is, however, so much more as so many other elements take over. I’d like to developed the discipline of fully reading a book I’m not enjoying as this many of us can find challenging. It does inspire us to give an author a chance, with regard to the hard work involved writing a book and therefore an opportunity to discuss it.
