Hiya, looking to start a book club in Taunton to meet monthly on a weekday evening, with books spanning both fiction and non-fiction. In fiction I particularly enjoy cosy crime, fantasy, classics, contemporary literature and historical fiction; in non-fiction, I enjoy history, philosophy, science and societal commentaries. Would like to discover some new and interesting reads!

Pratchett is the absolute pinnacle of fantasy writing for me as he combines it with a razor sharp wit and societal satire. Mort is a particularly good entry book for anyone interested in the Discworld series of books.

Retired pharmacist, married, with an interest in old (and new) religions, astrology, qabalah, tarot and occultism. Interested in the work of Jung and Steiner. Don't read much fiction these days but anything to do with the supernatural attracts.

Although I find him a "difficult read", I sometimes wonder what he is saying exactly, reading the book left me feeling a warmth and comfort that I can only ever remember feeling as a small child at home with my parents.
