Ed (Frome)

I enjoy reading a lot of different genres, and lately I've been getting back into fantasy, including epic and urban fantasy. Stand-outs for me are Nettle and Bone and the Nevernight Chronicle. I also read non-fiction from time-to-time; books about films/making-ofs, for example, "Best. Movie. Year. Ever" , local history, folklore, etc. I don't have lots of time right now, but it would be nice to meet for lunchtime coffee in Frome to discuss books and make new friends.

I’m 21 and I love fantasy & spice, i absolutely love the escape it gives you from the real world. My favourite book series are a court of thorns and roses & throne of glass. I’m looking to find people who are interested in similar books and hopefully make some friends! :) I’d love to find a book club which is interested in these sort of books so we can discuss them over some snacks and a cup of tea.

Oh where to start with this book, the whole series will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions! I love the world building in this and how much you get to know the characters, feeling like you follow them through their life. I thought nothing could top my love of A court of thorns and roses but I think this did! A must read if you like fantasy.

Joanne (Bath)

I'm an author and a lifelong lover of books. My first novel, Dancing on Knives, is coming out in January 2025. I'd love to connect with local reading groups who might be interested in reading a Bosnian ghost story about the dark legacy of war, and the unexpected roads that lead to redemption.

I am 67 and still an avid reader, of all kinds of books, including non-fiction. Have just discovered Fitzcorraldo publishers who do translations and read a wonderful French book. But I will read anything, including science fiction, fantasy, poetry and eco stories.
