Hi Everyone, I love reading the classics and still working my way through, would love to mix that up with newer reads... open to most genres but generally prefer fiction. Looking for an "inperson" book club in central london / square mile to make friends, meet up and discuss books. In my early forties and work in the city. Sunny

A great gothic story, set in the Essex salt mashes and waterways. Highly recommened, even if you don't know that part of the world.

Books Paula

Hi, I enjoy reading most genre's especially murder mysteries and thrillers, romance and fantasies. I would love to meet and make new friends, but do struggle to put myself out there, so am quite lonely and thought a book club maybe would be a good start to try and change things for myself.

Books Paula recommends:

I am currently reading Colder than the grave
by JD Kirk | Buy this book
This is book no.14 of the DCI Logan series and I just love them although they are mainly crime fiction set in and around Highlands but have plenty of Scottish humour splattered in each story, I often find myself laughing out loud too which some people might find a bit odd. I would highly recommend these books to anyone who enjoys a good read. My favourite book of all time I think has to be Flowers in the Attic by Virginia Andrews that book I read many years ago but it sticks with me even now, excellent book.

They are all brilliant in their own ways, definitely worth reading.
