Izzye1997 (Westcliff-on-Sea)

I’m 27 and a new (ish) reader, mostly enjoy reading fantasy but have read a few classics etc. Would love to meet local, similar and chilled out people to make casual plans with! Local to Westcliff and Southend. And would love to have suggestions to diversify my reading! Love animals, food and being active and outdoors! But just as happy indoors in a cafe etc. I’d be happy to try and arrange a meet up once getting some people’s emails :)

Robert (Southend-on-Sea)

I am a local prolific author who writes in various genre ie Historical Fiction, Fictional Crime, Irish Romantic Fiction and short stories. I did until recently have four books published in the USA but alas my publisher contacted me and returned all rights back to me and cancelled my contracts?. Disappointed yet determined I intend to carry on writing since its a labour of love. I have so much knowledge to pass on to those struggling with writing and tips on how to avoid those scams and the vanity press. I am of course 80 years old but I have so many ideas in my head which may or may not help others?.Maybe a local book club or those who are like me a bit of an introvert?. Many Thanks Robert James Bridge Local Author.

Well to be blunt yes its one of my own publications ie Canadian Historical Fiction and although a true story I have used fictional characters throughout. This is the story of the halifax explosion in 1917 in which almost 2,000 lives were taken when two ammunition ships collided in the harbour of Halifax Nova Scotia , the date was 6th DEC at 9am 1917 a date etched in the minds of many Canadians.

Although short in todays climate this is infact a true story using fictional characters so as not to offend living relatives. It is my premier tome even though I have other books which includes a four books series of fictional crime. What is great about this books is true and reminds us of those that gave their lives so we could enjoy the lives we have today. I wrote this books when I lived in North Wales , in a village adjacent to Kinmel Army Camp called Bodelwyddan as I stood amongst the gravers with the Maple Leaf Emblem on them .I.S.B.N. 9781952894367 .On googleplay and googlebooks plus kdpublishing and draft2digital and smashwords.

monaevisa (Grays Thurrock)

Hi! Over the past year, I’ve really gotten into romantasy, and I’ve been loving the mix of magical worlds and emotional storylines. I also enjoy general romance and crime/thriller novels—basically anything with strong characters and a plot that keeps me turning pages. I’m looking to join a book group to make friends, connect with others who enjoy reading as much as I do, discover new titles I might not pick up on my own, and have fun discussing different perspectives. I'd love to meet up about once a month if possible, and I’m open to both in-person and virtual chats.

This book is very tense and exciting, I didn't want to put it down. The worldbuilding is so easy to follow, the characters are great and the plot has a really good pacing to it.
