Arireadsalot (Ilford)
I love reading all kinds of genres — psychological thrillers, murder mysteries, and a good old rom-com are definitely my go to, but honestly, I’m up for reading a bit of everything. I’m always looking for new recommendations and love chatting about books with people who are just as into reading. think it’ll be fun to share thoughts, hear different perspectives, and just be part of a community that appreciates a good story!

Lilsreads (Rayleigh)
Just a 33 year old who has always been obsessed with all books romancey, dark romance (yes please to spice) , Fantasy and otherworldly paranormal genres! -- okay I'm just ganna say it I recently fell down the booktok hole (i know I know! But the fan art is sooo good!) and I'm loving every minute of these books, (not even sorry ha!) and would lovvvvve for other like minded people to chat with, my social life consists of reading in my dressing gown like a grannie giggling to the plot lines and there are times I wish I had someone/a group to giggle with and swoon with and scream passionately about plot lines with! Looking for a book club maybe or online connections! I just moved back to the area and it would be great to do something social

Lynn (Frinton-on-Sea)
Hi, I've recently moved to Frinton having semi-retired from a long career as a Primary School teacher. I'm keen to make new friends with similar interests (reading, walking, places if interest etc) and integrate into the community. Enjoy reading a range of genres, favourite author currently being Santa Montefiore. Not sure if group exists already but happy to join or start one.

peter (Braintree)
Have recently moved to Essex - good to get acquainted with folk who love books. I try to alternate novels with non-fiction - have recently read "Golden Hill" by Spufford which is top notch historical fiction. Am also keen on aviation, steam railways, military history. Braintree Library has a book group (according to the Net) but crime which is not a genre I read much.

Danielle (Grays Thurrock)
Hi Early 30s. Love reading all genres, but particularly enjoy horrors, thrillers or history (specifically Tudor, world wars, vikings or victorians). Looking to meet others to be able to discuss books & make friends with similar interests
Danielle recommends:

Mango (Romford)
I love the classics, fantasy, romantasy, comedy and started to read a few thrillers. I used to love Stephen King as a young teen, but haven't read horror in a while. I'd like to chat about books we've read and getting recommendations - i think that a club would help me in focusing to read more and doom scroll less...

Mary (Grays Thurrock)
I am an elderly female who has recently moved to Chafford Hundred after separating from my husband. I read every day and my current author is Ken Follett. Before that John Stanford, crime writer. I have an eclectic taste in reading material - Jilly Cooper, Maeve Binchy, Jeffrey Archer, etc. It would be great to have recommendations from others and to spend time meeting up to discuss opinions.
