I'm looking to meet up with other book lovers who can introduce me to different authors, genres and styles. My love of books/reading started many moons ago when the school librarian introduced me to Fantasy (Ursula Le Guin, Tolkein and CS Lewis), and later spilled into Horror and Comedy. Also love a bit of Sci-Fi or comedy sci-fi (Hitchhikers Guide). I've even been known to read soem biographries of late (shock horror - I never thought I would ge into that). Anyhow, it would be great to meet new people and expand my rather limited and slim library collection. Finally, please forgive my typing - my fingers have dyslexia and my head is full of linguistic trip hazards. I won't be able to meet up weekly but every few weeks (e.g. once a month or every other month) would be fab. I live in the HD5 area.

Hi all, I’m Gail, I’m in the Colne Valley area of Huddersfield, always been an avid reader, I like a book with a twist I don’t see coming, and keeps me guessing throughout. I also like true crime, short stories and kids books, never too old for fairytales. I lean more towards short stories currently, due to some health issues, which can cause me to struggle to follow a long, complicated plot. Favourite books are probably Stephen King - Shawshank Redemption and Roald Dahl - Skin and other stories. I also have cats, and a family, who do not read.
