I love this fantasy book as it uses medieval Spain and the Middle East to form an interesting and different magical world. Taylor also uses this space to discuss the aftermath of violent revolution on all of its survivors.

I love Lizzie as a character, I feel like she is relatable, even with the couple hundred time gap since publication. I love her lack of dependancy on a man and I feel like that is both bold and brave for that time. I feel like you could also take parts of the story from Austen's life in itself which is admirable.
