Tracy (Belvedere)
I like to read and I'm looking for a group that meets in the Belvedere or Erith area. I tend to read mostly sci-fi or historical fiction, but one of the things I like about a book group is it gets me reading things I wouldn't otherwise look at.

Sophie Marie (Margate)
I’m 27 and last year Colleen Hoover got me hooked on reading and before I knew it, I’d read more books than ever before in my life. I typically read romance and branching into fantasy- currently low key obsessed with Fourth Wing. Really I’m just looking to meet new people to discuss books with and share recommendations.

Very much a non-fiction reader. Interests include colonialism, empire, environment and many other topics. New to Folkestone, so looking to discover new books and discuss with interesting people.

I want to read more and to meet like minded people. I really enjoy quirky books that have me gripped. I love foreign books too such as African and Japanese.

Henry (Margate)
I enjoy reading speculative fiction (apart from horror). I love it when a writer pushes characters to extreme situations and sees how society and individuals will react to extraordinary events. I’m also keen to be directed to books that I might not have thought of reading. I don’t like a book to be overly descriptive but to leave enough space for the readers imagination to run wild by being presented with creative and unique scenarios and environments. Reading is a way for me to unwind and dream a little.

Hi, I am already part of a book group and we are wondering if we might meet up with others from time to time. It would be good to see which other groups meet in the area.

Jen (Bromley)
I love reading. Recently have been reading a lot of non-fiction (predominantly self help/psychology/philosophy/spirituality) and I'm looking to read more fiction. Would love to find a local book club to join, for reading inspiration, and to meet other book lovers :)

Granary Book Club & Writers Group (Maidstone)
We started as Granary Writers, however, due to Covid, and general life getting in the way, our numbers have reduced slightly. To keep us going, we have decided to branch out into both reading and writing; people are more than welcome to bring their thoughts and critique's on our bi-monthly nominated book (or indeed share how they've been enjoying their own reading) or bring along and read what creative writing they have been working on. We are a friendly bunch that meet in St Paul's Church along Boxley Road once every two months and would be very welcoming to new members when we meet again in the new year.
