Looking to join a face-to-face book club to expand my social circle, & to broaden my literary horizons! Typically I’m into thrillers (Reacher), police procedural (Rebus), and post-apocalyptic (Edge of Darkness), but also enjoy a good history book too, and open to other genres.

Nicola1977 (Fareham)

I moved to Hampshire last year and would love to join a local book club. I need to get out of the house more and meet new people and hopefully make some new friends with similar interests. I want to enjoy a book club with a relaxed discussion over a cuppa or glass of wine without the pressure of intense discussion. I just finished reading The Women which I loved but open to reading pretty much anything.

Susierow (Fareham)

I enjoy a mix of contemporary fiction and romance, and I’m always up for a good story with strong characters. Coco Mellors is a favourite, and I also love classics like To Kill a Mockingbird.

Susierow recommends:

Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors
Cleopatra and Frankenstein
by Coco Mellors | Buy this book
Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors offers a compelling look at complex relationships and personal growth. Mellors’ direct writing style brings depth to everyday emotional struggles, capturing the subtleties of love and identity without glossing over the challenges. The result is a thoughtfully crafted narrative that resonates with readers through its honest portrayal of human connection.

Cosy Crime Book Club (Southampton)

Hello, I was looking for a book club for cosy crime, thriller, and mystery and decided to make my own! We meet once a month at Retro Cafe on Bedford Place on the 2nd Monday of the month. We are a friendly and welcoming bunch who enjoy discussing books over tea and cakes. We are completely free to join (and always will be). Abi (Basingstoke)

In my mid 20's and trying to be more social and expand my reading to both fiction and non fiction, keen to meet new people and talk all things books. Currently diving to get into romantasy but i am a massive Agatha Christie fan (I love a whodunnit) and open to all genres and tropes.

This Is How You Lose the Time War
by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone | Buy this book
It is different to my usual reads but i love it especially considering for how short it is it packs a punch that i absolutely loved. The love story woven across time, place and worlds is created with so much care and charm that i love chasing and being chased with Blue and Red.
