I live in Culverden Park and belong to a U3A book club. However, when I was in TW library collecting my next book I noticed there were some books set aside for “Culverden Park Ladies” and so I’m very keen to join this group if possible.

Debutante (Folkestone)

Hi I’m late 60’s and like to think of myself as young minded. I have a GSH and like a bit of banter and fun. Love reading and discussing books but don’t love it so much when things are taken too seriously. I have a Literature degree so have enjoyed analysing many books. However, I do feel that over analysing can sometimes lessen the enjoyment. I mainly like fiction one of my favourite books being ‘What I Loved’ by Siri Hustvedt. Also loved The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold. Fairly new to Sandgate so would like to make new friends in the process.

Wonderful story, written in the 1950's. It's the tale of a regular man who tinkers with engineering projects in his London basement and ends up on an incredible journey.
