Open thoughts (Woodford Green)

A group that discusses their deeper thoughts/imaginations whenever they have read a book. An open space for discussing their emotions towards a book they love which allows for the group to experience the book in the same way. The ultimate goal is to find companions that have aligned minds or even minds that challenge each other.

Aqsa (Woodford Green)

I have only recently taken up the hobby of reading and the more that I do I find myself to be lost in them, almost as it it’s an escape from reality but when I finish them I have no one to discuss all my thoughts and views about it. I do have a big love for romance books but I also have a big love for any fictional or non fictional books that have a bigger and impactful meaning to it.

Neilson (Southend-on-Sea)

I am a product specialist for a tech company and a film director for a passion. I love to read fiction as I can escape into a creative world. This also helps my screenwriting because I write all the time for my films. New to the area of Southend-on-Sea. I don't know anyone so I'd love to join this community and meet like minded people.

Selina77 (Southend-on-Sea)

I live a busy life - 2 children and I’m a deputy head. I love to read and need to make more time for myself so I thought I’d combine the two! I don’t often read non-fiction but would be open to it. I like paranormal, crime on occasion, some horror. In fact, as an avid reader, there isn’t much I won’t try! Looking to meet fortnightly, monthly. Whatever suits really. Would prefer local :)

Shannon (Braintree)

I've always read books on and off throughout my life and can be a slow reader especially if I can't get into the book. I started with the "classics", then went to crime and thriller and have recently found my way to romantasy, which might be my favourite so far. I'd like to meet like minded people who I can chat to about the books I'm loving and get recommendations for further reading.

Toby (Southend-on-Sea)

I mostly read poetry in various formats and genres, but would love to expand in to other types of reading! My most read non-poet authors are William Burroughs and Jack Kerouac. Would love to join a book club or discussion type group, to expand my taste and simply to just find new friends and recommendations!

Dean (Brentwood)

Hi, I love reading all sorts but Historical Fiction would have to be my favourite genre. I also do like to read non fiction, about new subjects or learn more about a familiar one. Although in my 50’s I try to learn something new everyday.

Becky (Maldon)

Hello, everyone! My name is Becky, and I've recently relocated to this wonderful area. As someone in my late 40s, I've found that nothing quite compares to the excitement of diving into a gripping thriller. I am excited to join a book club and look forward to sharing my passion for suspenseful stories and engaging in lively discussions with fellow book enthusiasts. I'm excited to get to also read books I’d never usually pick myself & meet new people
