I am a published author with books published in the usa and although I write almost daily I feel I would not only like to get my publications widely known, I would like to meet locals who are struggling or need help in their pursuit of publication. I mostly write historical fiction and fictional crime. I hasten to add I am hoping to join a bookclub at the Southend Forum Library which meets on the first thursday aft of every month and is run by SWAN Southend Writers and Artists which is on facebook. I am retired so I have plenty of free time to write, a passion I enjoy very much. Thanks R.J.

I'm an avid reader with a penchant for exploring a variety of genres, including science fiction, historical fiction, and mystery novels. I'm eager to join a book group that appreciates this diversity in reading tastes. Ideally, I'm looking for a book group that meets regularly, perhaps once every two weeks, to strike a balance between a consistent schedule and allowing ample time for meaningful discussions and thorough exploration of each book. I believe this frequency would provide a comfortable rhythm for our discussions. Beyond my love for literature, one of my primary goals in joining a book group is to make new friends who share similar interests. I see this as a wonderful opportunity to connect with individuals who not only have a passion for reading but are also open to expanding their horizons and sharing their knowledge. I'm excited about the prospect of engaging in insightful conversations, learning from others, and collectively broadening our literary horizons.
