Book clubs in Essex

This book introduced me to the genre of magical realism which I absolutely love, so it will always have a spacial place in my heart.

The book presents a very honest, personal experience of being in one of the most notorious prisons in US history. It covers the author's upbringing and then moves into his time at Alcatraz, highlighting how he got there, and what life was really like on the Rock. Highly recommend to any non-fiction reader.

The father-son relationship in this book is interesting and hart-warming, which only makes the end of the book more perplexing. The scenes described throughout are also just very comforting, a great read all round.

Well to be blunt yes its one of my own publications ie Canadian Historical Fiction and although a true story I have used fictional characters throughout. This is the story of the halifax explosion in 1917 in which almost 2,000 lives were taken when two ammunition ships collided in the harbour of Halifax Nova Scotia , the date was 6th DEC at 9am 1917 a date etched in the minds of many Canadians.

THis is Irish Romantic Fiction Set at the time Belfast was occupied by the British Army ie 1970. This is the story of a love that blossoms through all adversity and features a your Irish lass called Margot Giligan.

Of all of my published book this is my premier tome since it was a large part of my love of writing some years ago. Although short in todays climate this is infact a true story using fictional characters so as not to offend living relatives. It is my premier tome even though I have other books which includes a four books series of fictional crime. What is great about this books is true and reminds us of those that gave their lives so we could enjoy the lives we have today.
