Kel

Mid-40s, love a good book (varied genres), would love to find a local book club - preferably one that does evenings, good book recommendations and perhaps a natter about them over a glass of wine!

Longterm

I’m 19 (male) and would like to invite others to join me in discussing books. The group is meant to be long-term, since I plan to keep reading and exploring ideas through books for many years to come.

I’m a busy working mom and I don’t get a lot of opportunities to socialise and meet people and I would like to meet some like minded women, chat about the books and maybe have a glass of wine.

I'm a 31 year old first time mum who's just gotten into the world of books. I listen to them on audiobook whilst I'm doing jobs and I'm hooked. Looking to meet up with local people of all ages, discuss new books and have a laugh.

Marta

A regular Jane. Lattes, avocado toasts, compelling novels about serial killers, thrillers, a dark romance, and a touch of realism with non-fiction.

Marta recommends:

The Quiet Tenant

Everything. The pace, the slow revelations, the characters... It makes you want to scream at the protagonist, at the antagonist, at yourself. I had to force myself to put it down, on a daily basis.

Marta

I've recently moved to the area and I'm looking to make connections through a common passion. I have a preference for suspense/thriller books, lighter, funny novels, I won't turn away a good romance book. I also enjoy non-fiction, especially with themes of social equality, which is part of my rotation. I'd love to find people who enjoy reading as much as I do and that are up for genuine enthusiastic conversations about a person who exists only in words!

Neens

Hi, I used to be an avid reader when i was young. Ever since I joined medical uni, I have only been reading medical books. Now, at 30, I want to get back to the joy and habit of reading, and want to meet like minded people. Joining a book club will also make me accountable and continue to read without getting much distracted.

Hi! I used to be an avid fiction reader, but lately I’ve found myself drawn more to non-fiction—especially self-help. I'm hoping to join a book group to discover new titles and have interesting discussions. I'm recently exploring all classic novels
