I’ve been an avid reader ever since my dad started taking me to the local library on Monday evenings when I was about eight years old. My first job was even in a bookshop! These days, reading is one of the main ways I look after myself and recharge for the week ahead. I’d love to broaden my reading horizons by joining—or even setting up—a group with others who share the same passion.

I’ve just published A Woman of Fortitude, my life story, and I would like to share it with my community. I’d be happy to give a free copy to local book clubs so that they can discover my story and to attend book discussions offering question and answer sessions and book signing.

Hi, I’ve been retired for a year now and find myself wanting to do something. I used to read a lot when I was younger and would really like to get back into it. I’ve read many different genres in the past. If a book grabs in the first pages I’m hooked. I think I would enjoy being in a book club for the discussion and friendship. I would like to meet monthly or whatever suits most people.

I am looking to reignite my childhood love of reading. I am interested in novels, fiction, historical fiction, romance crime fiction, humour to name a few. I’m not interested in sci-fi, but never say never. It would be nicest meet up with a group of people every 6-8 weeks? To share views and discover new books and interests.
