Vanessa

Evening book fiends! My name is Vanessa and I am hoping to join a book club around West Byfleet and meet some fellow avid readers. My favourite book is, 'How to Kill a Mockingbird'. I'm also a sucker for a bit of crime fiction! As I work a full time job during the week, I'd like to meet early evenings. I'm really looking forward to meeting you all. Kindly, Vanessa

The beautiful way it was written. I loved the use of analogies.

I have just moved into the area and am looking to join a book group. I’m a retired primary school teacher who has probably read too many non fiction (and children’s books) over the years and would love to broaden my fiction horizons by sharing books with others.

The Ice Child by Elizabeth McGregor

It’s a sort of hybrid fiction/non-fiction text based on the mystery surrounding the Franklin expedition to find the North West Passage. It’s more riveting than it sounds.

I like reading although I find it difficult to find time to do it. I need to get better and that’s and would like to read more books.

I love reading! Mostly murder mysteries and some girlie books but would be open to broaden my genres. Looking for a good relaxed book club to hopefully join.

I live in Byfleet - edging into retirement. Love to read 'literate fiction', early detectives 'the Golden age' 1920-40s, police procedurals, and all well-written genres.

The author creates a world in which you become totally immersed. Privileged schoolgirls at a public school in Ireland enmeshed in a murder investigation. Twist upon twist in the plot line wrong foots the reader in a totally believable way. Brilliantly written.

I am interested in History, Sci-fi, Horror, crime and Fantasy books. So, most genres basically. Ive recently gotten back into reading and have made a little reading corner which I want to fit out with more books. Currently reading the first Game of Thrones and Lovecrafts short stories.
