A funny, light hearted but gripping mystery book! Very unique like nothing I have read before.

This is the first book of a series and the main character “Murderbot” is one of the best characters in any book series. Loads of heart, funny, and great action.

The first book to win both the Nebula and Hugo award. Opened up the genre to include more cerebral matters and influenced all science fiction since its release in the 60s. Fantastic story, brilliant world building, complex relationships and copious amounts of life extending drugs.

Mon dieu, I love reading these stories! The tension barely lifts thoughtout the nearly 700 pages! Kristoff can write thrillers, fantasy, action, erotica and horror better than anyone I have read! Longue vie ‘la demoiselle du graal!’

Written originally about the greed and politics of the restoration (reflecting the same in 1980s Thatcher years), it is also poignant and humorous
