Smilla (Guiseley)

Enjoying reading more after early retirement and would be lovely to meet different people to hear their views on books. I usually read literary fiction but have started to read some non fiction too.

Smilla recommends:

Restoration by Rose Tremain
Restoration

Written originally about the greed and politics of the restoration (reflecting the same in 1980s Thatcher years), it is also poignant and humorous

Wik (Leeds)

Recent graduate with a life long passion for reading. Looking for other readers and bookworms to connect with so I can discuss books. I read a wide variety of books but my main genres are romance, fantasy and recently mystery/thriller.

Wik recommends:

Dungeons and Drama

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this book since it is a YA romance but it blew me away, and what bookworm/gamer doesn't love some dungeons and dragons in a book!

Owen (Shipley)

Hi, I'm a 23 year old academic (physics) taking a break period after my masters. My degree really killed off my reading habit and I am only just getting back into it. At the moment I am mainly reading some philosophy, but I am open to any work, fiction or non-fiction. I am actively interested to get into new genres and forms of writing. Currently reading: On the Nature of Things - Lucretius

Owen recommends:

The Dispossessed
by Ursula K LeGuin | Learn more and buy
A deeply impactful read. It has been very significant to me personally.

Elle (Leeds)

hey divas! I’m 26 and have been on my reading grind recently. I’m in a low commitment, virtual book club with friends from the south, but I would love to make some book pals nearby!! I’m a big fantasy/gothic romance girlie. I also love a good sci-fi. Open to all genres but I’m not a big crime fan unless you can convince me otherwise :))
