I think this is Austen's most interesting book, very different from her other titles! It has mystery and romance, really lovely! I don't know which other book would be really similar to this but the one that comes to my head is Dracula due to the mystery side of things.

It is such a feel good book, with hope and how somehow we can impact a life without really knowing how amazing this can be for the person. It is also about what family really means and what happiness means in practice and on a visceral level. It is also written so beautifully, down to earth... not at all sickly sweet and you just end up liking all those that are meant to be liked and actually you pity those that a pain in the backside as sometimes we have all experienced trying to do good but it going wrong. No to mention the moments when you are laughing... because even in the most tense of life moments...even when you can't see it at the time... life is side splittingly funny x

I’ve connected with a lot of other readers since I set up a bookstagram account (@pixelspaperink) but it would be nice to see if there’s anyone local and bookish :) Favourite genres are thriller and romance (bit different!) and I also enjoy running as a means to unwind. Also partial to a cocktail—or four!

Interesting characters, intriguing storyline that had me saying "I'll just read a bit more"...and it's one I recommend to all my friends! This author is also giving a free talk at Stoneleigh Community Library on 9 October so I'll be interested to meet her.

It's gripping and I couldn't put it down! Relatable characters and a great plot. This author is going to be at Stoneleigh Community Library in Stoneleigh near Epsom on Thursday 2nd October. It's a free event so please do join us.
