Grace (Woking)

Some of my favourite books include Journal of a Solitude by May Sarton, Bonjour Tristesse by Françoise Sagan, and Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. Some of my favourite authors are Ottessa Moshfegh, Clarice Lispector and Lisa Taddeo. I’d love to join and book club where we meet up once a month! I’d also like to make new book-ish friends!

"...how mortal I am, how the love for the world transcends me. Love for mortal life was killing her sweetly, bit by bit. And what can I do? What can I do with happiness? What can I do with this strange and piercing peace, which is already starting to hurt me like an anguish, like a great silence of spaces?"

When I’m not working I love going for long walks that incorporate a pub pit stop😜 and I enjoy going out dancing (raving😜) and music gigs and festivals! Would happily meet up in any nearby areas.

Hi! I used to be an avid fiction reader, but lately I’ve found myself drawn more to non-fiction—especially self-help, psychology, philosophy. I'm hoping to join a book group to discover new titles and have interesting discussions.

This book takes Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn and turns it on its head narrating the story from the viewpoint of the slave Jim. A fascinating book by thus intriguing and thought provoking author.
