vanessa (Nottingham)

I love writing! I’m trying to get back into reading nore but it’s been difficult, so i think meeting likeminded people would help! I’m 18, I live in Nottingham and i’m particularly drawn to horror and philosophical themes.

I love how it shows the imperfections of humans and the horrors of mother hood. It leaves the reader to question nature vs nurture , and never gives us an answer.

Dan (Richmond (Surrey))

I recently stopped working full-time and I’m looking to meet people in my neighbourhood. I have lived in Kew for 12 years but most of my friends are elsewhere. I enjoy reading and a group would encourage me to read one book at a time and finish it!

Nicola (Porthmadog)

My mother, Kerstin Eadie has recently moved from Birmingham to Porthmadog to live with us. She has always been part of Book Groups and has left 2 groups that she was part of for 20 years in Birmingham. She is 87 and the book groups have been a big motivator for in her reading. We have been told there is a book group locally at the library. Would it be possible to find out more.

Lytham Literature Enthusiasts (Lytham StAnnes)

Hello! I'd like to start a book club in the Lytham area. I love reading and discussing books over a brew. I would love to meet new people, hear about what reading means to them, how stories made them laugh, their jaws drop, how they impacted them. My favourite genres are mystery, classics, crime and sometimes a little bit of romance. I am open to expanding my horizons too. If you're interested in joining a book club let's connect!

Stephen (Eastleigh)

I'm a Jack of all genres. I read almost anything but struggle with most books classified as literary fiction. Maybe I'm missing the point so would like to talk to others about them.

A rich and deftly-crafted story about the move from the Middle East to Paris in the early 20th century. Gripping betrayals and unfixable heartbreak!

This book completely swept me away. From the very first chapters, I was drawn in by its eerie, gothic, and whimsical atmosphere , dark yet beautiful, like a gothic fairy tale. The pacing was smooth with no dull moments, and the mystery built gradually throughout the book kept me invested. And has a slow burn romance.

Nick (Grantham)

I absolutely love reading and my style is crime and psychological thrillers with twists that keeps me guessing whodunit. We can start a book club and invite other to join in. As long as there's no romantic Mills and Boons on the program :-). I am not one for small talk and having a lot of opinion to express like to hear what others also think and discuss my or their interpretation. Let me know if you're interested and we can take it from there. Thank you

Beautifully written with vivid descriptions of hares, insights into wildlife generally and highlighting the perils of intensive agriculture. This is an uplifting and moving book on the transformative impact on the author of caring for an abandoned leveret.

Millie22 (Birmingham)

I'm a casual reader but would love to meet like minded people and discuss everything about books, get new recommendations and broaden my horizons with different genres. I enjoy fantasy (think piranesi by Susanna Clarke), crime/thriller (especially when it's cheesy), and romance (love a good easy read!)
